Branded Exports, Deeper Budgets, and New Export Formats
Configure your brand once. Structure budgets the way your production actually works. Export to ShotGrid, JSON, and more.

Production documents do more than communicate information — they represent the team behind them. A budget sent to a financier, a schedule shared with a studio, a report handed to a department head: each one carries an impression of how a production is run.
Until now, every document exported from Filmustage carried Filmustage branding. And budgets, regardless of how complex a production was, stayed within two flat levels. These updates change both.
Documents That Carry Your Brand
Set up your production company's logo, contact details, footer, and preferred filename format once. Every report, schedule, and budget exported from Filmustage will reflect your identity from that point forward — no watermark, no extra steps.
For productions that share documents regularly with financiers, studios, or collaborators, this removes a step that has always required workarounds: exporting from Filmustage, then reformatting or rebranding in another tool before sending.

Available for any plan active for 3+ consecutive months after feature release, or subscriptions over $149.
Budget Structure That Matches How Productions Work
Most productions don't think about costs in two levels. Departments have sub-departments. Line items branch into more specific categories depending on the shoot. A flat structure forces teams to either over-simplify their budgets or manage the detail somewhere else entirely.
Filmustage now supports up to four levels of budget depth. Top-level categories, departments, line items, sub-items — organized the way your production actually structures its costs, not the way a template decides they should be.

Upgraded Export Design and New Formats
The PDF and Excel export templates have been redesigned. Layouts are cleaner, visual hierarchy is clearer, and the overall presentation is more consistent with what productions are expected to deliver professionally.
Two new export formats have also been added: ShotGrid and JSON. For productions already working within the ShotGrid ecosystem, data can now move directly between platforms. JSON exports open up integration with custom internal tools and reporting pipelines without any manual re-entry.

What This Means for Pre-Production
These updates address friction that has been part of the Filmustage workflow since the beginning — documents that required rebranding before sharing, budgets that didn't reflect how productions are actually structured, and export formats that stopped at PDF and Excel.
The workflow stays the same. The output is cleaner, more flexible, and more directly usable.
FAQ
Can I upload my logo to Filmustage exports?
Yes. You can upload your production company logo as part of the brand configuration. Once set, it appears automatically on every document you export — no manual placement needed each time.
How many budget levels does Filmustage now support?
Up to four levels — from top-level categories down to individual sub-items. Enough depth to reflect how real production budgets are actually structured, department by department.
