Team Collaboration. Your whole crew, on the same page.
Pre-production is a team sport, but the team is scattered across inboxes, exported PDFs, and side chats. Filmustage brings your producers, ADs, and department heads into one workspace, working from one breakdown — with exactly the access each of them needs.

Bring the whole team in — and set exactly who touches what
Share a project, invite collaborators by email, and run everyone from the Team Access panel. Give each person the access their role needs — your line producer in the budget, the AD in the schedule, a VFX vendor in VFX and nothing else — feature by feature.
- Invite by email — add collaborators from Share Project or the Team Access panel, and manage them all in one place
- Permission every tab — set Screenplay, Reports, Scheduling, Budgeting, Call Sheets, VFX, Analysis, Storyboards, Versions, and Annotations to None, View, Edit, or Full — or set them all at once with the All row
- Four levels, no guesswork — None (no access), View (read-only), Edit (change what's there), Full (create, delete, and run AI actions)
- Screenplay is the base — any access you grant includes Screenplay view, so a collaborator always has the scenes in front of them
- The owner keeps the keys — only the project owner can delete the project or add and remove people
- Your coins, your call — AI actions on a shared project always draw on the project owner's balance, never the collaborator's

Everyone marks up the same script — without stepping on each other
Your team works from one copy of the screenplay. Notes live in layers, so you decide what stays yours and what the crew sees. Questions live in threads anchored to the line they're about. None of it touches the script text or your breakdown tags.
- Yours or the team's — your call — mark a layer Private and only you see it; leave it shared and every collaborator with annotation access sees it
- A layer per department — name and color a layer for stunts, art, or continuity, then show or hide the whole set with one checkbox
- Threads, not one-off notes — comment on the exact line, reply, resolve it when it's handled, reopen it when it isn't
- Permissions carry through — anyone with annotation access can comment and reply; only the author and collaborators with Full access resolve, reopen, or delete
- The full markup kit — highlights, underlines, strikethroughs, text boxes, stamps, shapes, freehand, and reference images
- Nothing gets in the way — markup never changes your script text or breakdown tags, and it never costs Dude Coins
- Only visible layers print. Export the script to PDF with Include annotations and Include comments — anything on a hidden layer stays out.

Keep the conversation next to the work
Team Chat lives inside Filmustage, so questions and decisions stay beside the production they're about — no bouncing to another app to find that one message. Messages are real-time, with online and typing indicators.
- One team room — everyone on the team is in it by default, and new members join automatically once they accept the invite
- Group chats — the team owner spins up named rooms for a department or a task
- Private chats — any member starts a one-on-one
- Saved Messages — your own space for notes, visible to no one else
- Teams you own appear under My Team; teams that invited you under Shared with me. For a note about a specific line, use a script comment instead — it's anchored to the text.

Send out floor sides the crew can actually trust
Build daily sides straight from your shooting schedule and export a print-ready PDF. Stamp a QR code on every page, so anyone on set can scan and see whether those pages still match the current schedule — Up to date or Outdated. No one shoots yesterday's sides again.
- Straight from the schedule — packets reflect the latest day breaks and scene order, sorted by schedule or script, and bundle several days into one PDF
- Cut for the day — cross out lines that aren't shooting, and track shot status — Shot, Partial, Held, Omitted — with continuity notes and takes
- Smart Highlight — spotlight scenes by cast, location, tag category, or scene type, and drop the rest to an appendix
- QR verification — every page links to a live status page: Up to date or Outdated, the shooting day it covers, and exactly what changed since the export
- One tap back to the truth — Open in Filmustage takes whoever scanned straight to the live packet, so a stale side gets fixed on the spot instead of after the take

Share the script without losing control of it
Bringing people in shouldn't mean letting the material walk. Decide what is allowed to leave Filmustage, mark everything that does, and seal the file on the way out — down to a single collaborator on a single project.
- Decide what can leave — Export Access sets All exports, PDF exports only, or No exports
- Watermarks that name names — tile a forensic mark across exported PDFs, the on-screen view, or both — carrying the viewer's identity and your own notice, like CONFIDENTIAL — do not distribute
- Seal the PDF — block editing, copying, and annotating, or require a password to open the file at all
- Team, project, or one person — set the default for your whole organization, override it for one project, tighten it for one collaborator
- The owner sets the floor — whatever the owner enforces is locked in at export time; anyone exporting can add more protection, never less
